Freak The Mighty!!

      Freak The Mighty! Where do I begin? Well let me start off by saying that the book starts by having this disabled 8th grader who is very smart, but doesn't have the athletic ability.  He has metal rods to do his leg's work and he struggles to even walk! His name is Kevin.Everyone called him "Freak." Then you have this really tall, athletic, 8th grader but he isn't really smart at all. his name is Max. His life is good, but as he would say, "His father has ruined it by causing a tragic event to happen." His father is now in jail.........
      To me the book, in the beginning, was a bit confusing but as it got into the the first few chapters it got a bit more understandable.  This magnificent book is about two young boys who just happened to meet......again. In the book it said that they were in the third grade together and they were not friends. When Kevin moves down the street of  Max's house, they get all these memories about each other. But they don't start talking again until, Freak needed some help with something in a high tree, so Max was nice enough to help him. They were just starting to remember each other, but neither said anything about each other's past. Freak and Max were suddenly interrupted by Freak's mother who was terrified of Max because of his tallness. Later on in that chapter, Freak's mom said it was all a misunderstanding, that Max reminded Fair Gwen (Freak's mom) of his dad.  Everyone says that... He thought. Later on in the book, Max gets a-unexpected- visit from his dad.
       I recommend this book to the type of readers who are into drama, and action.
