This movie is also on my top 5 favorite movies' list. This movie is a horror film, and I'm not all that into horror films. But this one has got me interested in them. I realize I only like horror films because I want to be surprised, an d I don't like watching it with people who has already seen it. They don't know when to not tell everything that's about the movie. I've been into horror films since last year and I thought I made a great choice giving them a chance. And ever since, I've been in love with them. There is so much to expect when you don't watch the preview either. But that's the best part of watching a scary movie (not watching the preview.)
“Lose yourself,” Vincent Cassel’s character tells Natalie Portman as she painfully attempts to embody the black swan character in her dance company’s production of Swan Lake. She has the meticulous technical skills to pull off the innocence of the white swan, but lacks the effortless, sensual passion required to pull of the black counterpart. Lose yourself, she does.....
Black Swan is a 2010 American film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, and Mila Kunis. Described as a psychological thriller or a psychological horror film, its plot revolves around a production of Swan Lake by a prestigious New York City ballet company. As is usual with all productions of the ballet, the production requires a ballerina to play both the innocent White Swan and the sensual Black Swan. One dancer, Nina (Portman), is a perfect fit for the White Swan, while Lily (Kunis) has a personality that matches the Black Swan. When the two compete for the parts, Nina finds a dark side to herself.
