Starvation in India?

A lot of thoughts went through my head when I heard Mr. Poole give us this topic.
1. Hunger remains the No.1 cause of death in the world.
2. There are 820 million chronically hungry people in the world.
3. 1/3rd of the world's hungry, live in India.
4. Over 20 core Indians sleep with starvation tonight.
5. 10 million people die every year of chronic hunger and hunger- related diseases.
6. Over 7000 Indians die of hunger every month.
7. While everyone is thinking that Haiti has it bad, India has it 10x worse.
Every time I see an India commercial, that's when I start to appreciate all of the things I fairly have and own today. I then realize what we can do to help whether it's with donating, or just volunteering to help out. Like Mr. Poole says, "A little action, can lead to a big difference." Meaning anyone can make a difference, just with a little act of kindness. Also when kids have to starve, they don't really focus on learning. So, when they starve, they don't get a very good education. But if they don't starve, they focus more and they get a great education. Food= no starvation, no starvation= a good education.

These kids try to eat as much as they could, and as much as they can find... Which to this little boy, it's not too much.
